The article deals with the urgent issues of neuromuscular diseases in children. The modern world data on epidemiological, molecular-genetic, clinical and neurological, neurophysiological, biochemical, radiological methods of investigation, including biopsy, are presented. According to the data of world and domestic literature, the major research directions in the development of pathogenic treatment are described. In-depth study of the issues, noted in the article, helps to improve the level of objectivity and quality of monitoring and predicting pathological process in children with neuromuscular disorders with a view to improve the efficiency of selecting an adequate multimodal therapeutic strategy aimed at the prevention of disability.
