Abstract

The article presents modern views on the causes, pathogenesis and treatment of sleep disorders in patients with autonomic disorders at initial stages of disturbed cerebral circulation. Autonomic dysfunction is closely associated to insomnia syndrome, and so the search for the causes and treatment of these conditions are closely related too. There is a consensus on the use of antidepressants both to correct the symptoms of autonomic dysfunction and to improve the sleep quality. Trazodone proved itself as a drug significantly reducing symptoms of anxiety and insomnia, which quite often are the first and main manifestations of the initial stages of cerebrovascular pathology.
