Features of Clinical Course of Multiple Sclerosis in Pregnant Women and Impact of Pathogenetic Treatment on State of Fetus and Newborn

Abstract


Multiple sclerosis (MS) affects predominantly individuals of reproductive age, more often women. The problem of pregnancy planning in MS is one of the most topical. The article presents data on clinical course of MS in pregnant women, on protective function of pregnancy in MS, and the impact of MS on the fetus. The problem of pathogenetic treatment impact on the state of fetus and newborn is also discussed.
