Abstract

The scientific review presents new data on the three types of febrile-induced seizures, united in the literature in 3 separate abbreviations (FIRES, IHHS and AETIMSE). Logical and pathogenetic link between these epileptic syndromes was made. The article draws attention of child neurologists, pediatricians, family doctors. It is important to prevent epilepsy in the absence of a thorough examination of the child (electroencephalography, magnetic resonance imaging, virology and thorough physical examination).
