Abstract

The paper deals with the pathogenesis of early manifestations of atherosclerosis taking into account uncontrolled and controlled risk factors for its development. The problem of chronic cerebrovascular insufficiency and cognitive impairment has been considered in their relationship. The attention is focused not only on the correction of total cholesterol level, but also on its separate fractions. The article describes the role of natural product — omega-3, containing polyunsaturated fatty acids.
