Cardiac pain: the view of the neurologist

M.M. Oros, V.V. Hrabar

Abstract

The article deals with the problem of thoracalagia and its localization in the region of heart. The key positions of differential diagnosis of cardialgia are given, attention is paid to its musculoskeletal causes. A detailed clinical description of myofascial pain syndrome in the region of heart is presented. Attention is paid to the treatment of musculoskeletal cardialgia; the characteristics of muscle relaxants are given, namely, cyclobenzaprin — the most studied molecule among the muscle relaxants, which is mentioned in numerous international guidelines.

Keywords

thoracalgia; cardialgia; myofascial pain syndrome
